Mountain
View was beginning to come into its own by the 1910s. The business
district along Castro Street was expanding and the intersection of
Villa and Castro became a focal point of the downtown. All four of the
corner buildings seen in this picture still stand, although the
columned bank building has been significantly remodeled.
