The
Pacific Press was Mountain View's first major industry not related
to agriculture, it moved here in 1904 and remained until 1983. The
press was a publishing plant for Seventh Day Adventist publications,
and dozens of Seventh Day Adventist families built the majority of
the homes in Old Mountain View near the plants location at Villa
Street.
This
postcard shows the plant's auditorium building. Most buildings,
including the auditorium were preserved in its conversion to
an office park in the 1980s.
