Rex
Manor was the first major suburban subdivision built in Mountain
View. Built just north of Old Mountain View at Central Expressway
(then Alma Street). Rex Manor ushered in a wave of new subdivisions
which eventually surrounded the pre 1940s area of Mountain View.
These neighborhoods became the homes of WWII vets and their
families, and Mountain Views population expanded greatly.
