Mountain View Theater - 1962

The Mountain View Theater got a breath of new life in 1962 when it was extensively remodeled and reopened. The theater managed to remain open until 1986, when the combined competition from the Old Mill's AMC 6 Theaters and Century Theaters took away patrons.

The building has since been used as a live rock venue. A renovation into a Western Themed Night Club, the Rio Grande, included the removal of the pictured marquee. Today it is the Limelight Night Club. This photo is from the Library Archives.
