The
"Cube" was a Mountain View landmark located at the corner
of Evelyn Avenue and Castro Street. This giant cement block greeted
people who entered Mountain View by train or from Central Expressway
or Moffett Boulevard. During December, before Castro Street was
remodeled, the cube was decorated with this snowman.
The
cube was demolished last year to make way for Centennial Plaza and
the recreation of the city's Southern Pacific Train Depot.
